Hi all, first post I've got a second hand 1996 Mustang 2070, which has been a real beauty doing all sorts of jobs on the farm. Was working well yesterday, but today I went to start it and the engine engages and starts in NORMAL mode, but as soon as I turn the key back to RUN, it cuts out. If I start it in the AUX mode, it starts fine and runs perfectly. I've checked the seat safety mode which is working as it cuts out the engine in AUX mode, so I think thats ruled the seat safety switch out. All circuit breakers are fine too. I haven't come across a similar problem on the forum, so was wondering if anyone had some ideas? (I haven't been able to source a workshop manual, so if anyone has a PDF or can pint me in the right direction, it would be appreciated) cheers, Squibby

I don't know if your machine has similar controls as or newer 2044 and 2054 but they have a controller up in the cab that has a bunch of indicator lights that tells what systems are working. They also have a timer module up in the dash behind the gauges that can cause problems

G'day FS After a bit more investigation I found a second safety switch for the seat. The 2070 must have a seat belt safety switch and a second one (I can only imagine its for a weighted seat safety switch). Anyway the second one has been bypassed with some fencing wire and had come lose. Incidentally I did find the controller you mentioned but it was covered by a panel in the cab. Shows all the systems operating as you mentioned. Thanks for the reply
