I have a 1200a and just changed my filter, I'm assuming its the same. I actually removed the whole canister so I could clean the whole housing, I just got the machine last February and everything was covered in horse crap and dirt so Ive been removing and cleaning everything, i even removed the hydraulic valves to clean. I also didn't want have to work on it while bending over or being under the machine. I bought the proper size pvc pipe and cut 2 pieces about 3" long and glued caps on them. (I can take a pic of that when i get home later) The majority of the fluid will come out of the yellow circled fitting (that's the reservoir in the frame) Once i pulled the pipe out of the hose union i quickly put the pvc pipe/cap into the hose and retightened the clamp. then repeated that process on the other side. I would say i lost less than a gallon. I actually cut a gallon water jug down so I could catch the majority of fluid so it didn't make a mess. Also attached a pic of the filter number and gaskets for the canister. The previous owner did a fix on the gasket using silicone because they ripped it. It is the same as the JD 24 filter found here https://www.weingartz.com/assembly-...filter-jd24-skid-steer-loader/4275-657-532839
