The other day I was plowing snow and I started smelling something burning and then the gauge cluster stopped working. It still ran and moved so I continued finishing up my job. Changed fuse and it continued blowing the 15 amp fuse, so I wrote it off as a bad gauge cluster or burnt wire. A few days later we were plowing snow and it stopped moving completely, no hydraulics at all. Had to have it towed back. I just pulled the relay center apart today and discovered the burnt smell was actually coming from a relay marked detector. I unplugged it, took it apart and noticed a capacitor was blown apart. Replaced fuse and it started up and gauge cluster was working, had some lights flashing, but didn't blow fuse again. Also swapped 2 relays in relay and verified one of those was junked out as well. Does anybody know of anything that may have caused these two relays to fail in such close succession? Also what is a detector module and what does it do?
