my traction light is flashing. cant get the brake off. need to move machine so i can load a truck. can I tow it out of the way? Help!

Unless you can get the brake off, you will need to drag it with something larger than skid steer, like a tractor, etc. Getting it loaded on the trailer is another problem, unless you have a winch.

Get something bigger to move it, it will not roll. Flip cab, brake solenoid is right under the steer lever piviot bar. Remove the two 9/16" head bolts mounting its base to the cover. Underneath is the brake block. Remove and reinstall brake solenoid. Brake is 100% disabled. This applies to single speed unit, 2 speed no way around their brake. Also check the fuse and relay for the brake, relay may have just wiggled loose. If not, most likely bad brake solenoid. What code do you get?

I'd do what Dan said, an S250 is big, hard finding a bigger machine to drag it around.

Jerked it backwards out of the shop with a pickup. For once the snow/ice was helpful. Had to rent a cat which I did not like the controls at all. First time this machine let me down. Thank you all for the advice. I'm havent attempted to remove the part. Mechanic showing up friday.

today the brake is working. i never got a code but the yellow traction light was blinking. Is it possible that was frozen? It was below zero and today is in the 20s. Now the glow plug light is blinking. It only glows for a second and then beeps then the yellow glow plug light on the upper right starts blinking.

STRANGE! It sounds electrical / electronic related. Possibly a bad connection somewhere.

I'd check to see if the fuse box is corroided.
Strangely enough everything has gone back to normal. I have been using the machine for a few weeks with no problems. I had the traction lock up on me once while using after changing attachments. I restarted it and it worked fine. My mechanic sold me a slightly used brake solenoid for $100 but I haven't put it in yet. Damn gremlins always no the worst days to strike.
