I was thinking that I could make an attachment for my Case 1816 to allow it to use mini skid steer attachments, like buckets and manure forks. I don't have aux hydraulics, so the attachments are limited. But it would be nice to have a quick attachment option, since I often work by myself. When one of my sons is around, changing blades or plow attachments is fairly easy, but it's a bit of a challenge by myself. At first, I though of just trying to use a standard Bobcat QA, but the machine doesn't lift much, so the lighter I can make it, the better. eBay has some pins and lever for sale, and I thought that might make it easier. Has anyone here done this?

I see no reason why that won't work. The only issue i can see is if you try and do more with the attachment than it is rated for that may bend it.
If/When you go about it, i'd like to see pictures of what you do.

I think I found the answer. http://www.skidsteersolutions.com/mini-skid-steer-attachments/adapters/toro-dingo-and-other-adapters/eterra-mini-universal-adapter/ The comment section specifically mentions a Case 1816. I think I will give it a try.

I did exactly that for my mini Bobcat with an outdated QA. See links:

Both work very well. The mini Bobcat adapter is from Skid Steer Solutions. It is very well built, and well worth the money.
Cheers - SR
