Good Day
Looking to get some input.. I have a Thomas 233 kubota s2800 I purchased from a guy it ran well a little eather to start that was it.... I knew nothing about it but it ran and it did what it needed to do..... Over winter it got water in fuel I started it in summer and it ran good for about a minute and then it stopped due to the water (i did get water out of lines and tried to blow out injectors)..... it sat for about a year, I now am trying to get it to start... The guy I bought it from rigged this thing up not sure why but... he setup a switch and pushbutton to start the engine. not key switch no lights no safety is hooked up as if he just made it so it would work.. which whatever no problem....... I have been looking for it all as it is not starting so I took out the glow plugs to test them and come to find out they are not hook up to power???? not sure why but assume that is why he used starting fluid to get it to start? any way all the glow plugs are good and have the metal bars hooked to each one with no wire to power them....... SO I have to see if I can get them to work....
Question.... I have seen many ways to add a manual switch to the glow plugs.. adding a switch, solenoid, fuses ect.. I wil ltry to add a diagram I have and need help to see if this is correct. I do not know what size fuses I need to add to this.. I read the kubota s2800 glow plugs us 100 amp draw? also do I add the fuse between batt and solenoid or solenoid and glow plugs?
I also need to take out injectors and see if they are spraying incase the water may have did something inside?
This is a start so Please bear with me as I am learning this machine!
