Hey all, A while back I changed the belt on our 70's M-610 and had a few issues with the c-clips but I thought I had everything good to go till the hubby kicked it into full speed and the c clip that holds the roto-swivel into the drive sheath snapped and the sheave 1/2 slid out breaking the hydraulic hose off of the roto-swivel. The problem I am having is in the manual I purchased (after we purchased this darn thing) doesn't have anything at all about the roto-swivel other than a general gloss over that says it may have one. I need help on how to put it all back together and figure out what part(s) I may need. I know I need a new internal c-clip to go between the outer steel cap and the swivel itself, but because my manual doesn't have what I need broken down I'm not sure if there is anything else missing. If you have a better manual that you can share with me regarding this process that would be amazing! My email is [email protected]

This is a common issue….after years of wear the lock ring groove is worn enough that the clip can no longer hold. The shaft (pt#6516303) is NLA but the roto-swivel assembly (pt#6515580) is….expensive however $315.00 for the last one I bought.

6brnorma, since I don't have a part list for this section, Do you happen to have a list of parts for the roto-swivel. The head that sticks out of the silver piston is not broken off (bent a little but still movable, however the black I think it's like carbon fiber?? that goes under the 2 bushings on the head is shattered, and the bigger brass bushing that slides on the silver piston has a chip out of it (from a photo I found online it seems as though someone had put it in backwards). I can not seem to get the roto-swivel assembly to come up via your part#. I appreciate any and all help you can give!!! :)

There's a Facebook group especially for old Bobcats ...

In the files section of that group you will find parts diagrams and service manuals for this. You can also easily post pictures, which is rather important for this particular problem. As 6brnorma said its important to know if the groove for the large circlip is still there.
If repairing it gets too hard its quite common to fix the drive sheave at single position (say half way) with a threaded bolt and and some large washers, but you still need to have the large circlip in position.

I agree with David... look up the files on the Facebook page or go to the Bobcat web page ... parts and follow the menus until you find the parts/numbers there.
