I have bought an old Melroe 610.
Was in pretty rough shape. I’ve had it running. Put head gaskets on it.. now my problem seems to be finding neutral with the levers.. when I try to start it , it pulls against the starter. The levers are very touchy. Any advice.?

Not an expert on Melroe, but I suggest you post your questions in the forum so it will get more visibility. Welcome to the Skidsteer Forum!

Good deal at least I’ve got somewhere to start.. thank you..
Scarface39 beat me to it. That's exactly what it is. Place the sticks in middle position and remove the caps and loosen the castle nuts a touch. M610 was my starter machine. Completely rebuilt the motor, runs beautiful however, the dead pulley for the drive broke and I cannot find a replacement so now it just sits.

I got lucky and found 2 610s at an auction, I got each of them for $200 apiece. One had the engine removed and some of the variable speed clutch pieces missing, but that one is now my Parts machine to keep my good one going.

Once I find that part, mine will get used. It's a freakin workhorse. My second (and newer machine), is a 1995 753. It has a diesel engine and the power is noticeably greater than my 610 but they're both good machines. I rebuilt them both......for the fun of it.

Heck yeah, I use mine pretty much every day!! I’m currently making different quick attache attachments to help me get the jobs done easier.
