hi has anyone had experiance adjusting the drive and clutch chains on the M610,did it all as the book stated but then couldnt get the side covers back on, one clutch "shaft"( the part the cap screws on too) on each side is out by maybe 1.5 - 2 mm, didnt want to force it and damage the threads, so i loosened it all off and still the same problem. any suggestions

I made a tool for exactly that problem. I welded a nut on the end of a 4 ft bar......tighten chains, replace viewing panel as best you can and then thread new tool onto shaft so you can manipulate shaft as necessary, works like a charm. Prior to that I would just tighten chain, replace panel as best as I could, replace adjustment nut on shaft (so as not to damage threads) and use a smaller pry bar in a reverse fashion to move shaft enough to replace viewing panel. Also, remember that the large nuts must be aligned so that the bar welded to the inside of the viewing panel fits over the top of them. If these nuts are not correctly aligned, panel will not seat correctly no matter how much you manipulate the shaft.
