M0216 Hydraulic/hydrostatic filter not connected on T770

New owner here, 2011 T770. I've been to the manual and can find this code but I don't know what it really means. The unit seems to run but I am a little concerned with the warning message. Any help on exactly what this means and how to resolve it would be greatly appreciated

I would first check the sensor, and the wires attaching to it , chances are the filter is there, but it is something that needs to be changed out unless you have a service history and it is documented as ok time wise .
