Hello everyone Obsolete here, you all are a great group and thanks in advance you gotta get experience from somewhere right? so here goes 1974 Bobcat m 610 oem engine was a VH4D swapping with a W4 1770 wisconsin appears all to be the same just has a 3rd bearing dimensions are the same other than 35hp, how do or what do I need to make Hydraulic pump operate it, appears a LOVEJOY Coupler is used and it is driven off of distributor where can I get such parts and has anyone done this before????? appears engine is a 1999 and distributor is monted up top...... any advice would be great thanks in advance Obsolete!!!!!

Using the old coupling won't work?
Can you mount the pump to run off the front pulley by using a longer belt?

I would be careful trying to power the hydro pump off of the distributer on an engine not designed for it. A standard vh4d and the vh4d in a m610 bobcat are different. The gears on the crank for sure and I believe idler and dist gears are hardened. Also the idler gear runs on taper bearings rather than bushings in the bobcat engine to handle the additional stress of running the pump. I have seen a couple of different repowers but never the one you are attempting. Does it have a short taper shaft to accommodate the variable speed sheave?
