LX865 won't start in "Run" mode

New here and new to skid steers. My Dad and I got a great deal on a LX865. We've had to do some work to it, and while doing some of the work we've come across a problem we can't figure out. Doing much of our work leading up to this point, it started many times in "Run" mode without issue.

Now, when we put the skid steer in "Run" mode, it won't start. This started a few weeks ago while we were doing normal maintenance to the machine. When we got the skid steer home, it worked fine in Run and Service mode. It's been sitting in the same spot and hasn't been moved. Just one day it wouldn't start in "Run". The last thing we were doing before it stopped working; we popped the cover off the engine/fuse relay panel to check something and from there on it wont' start. We checked for loose connections but haven't found one.

Starting the machine in "Service" mode it fires right up. While running, if we try to switch it to "Run" it immediately shuts down and throws an Error02 (which the maintenance manual says is normal). If we try to start it in "Run" mode, we just hear one little click when we turn the key.

Couple things we've checked:
- verified all fuses look good
- tried to use a piece of copper to jump the seatbelt safety switch
- cleaned all terminals/connections on the Run/Service switch

A bit stumped and looking for ideas. Thanks.

Had similar problems on L185. It doesn't have the service/run switch but fuse/relay panels are nearly the same. There was bad connection in the terminal blades for the relays (square/rectangular blocks) in the engine compartment. Can happen with the fuses too. Try wiggling the fuses and relays in engine bay and cab while trying to crank--will take 2 people. Use intelligent safety precautions.
Not guaranteeing this is where it's at, but something I'd definitely check.
You jumped the seat belt switch--I think there's also a seat switch under the seat--there is on the L185.

Yes, sounds like the seatbelt / seat switch circuit. There are two seat switches that run in parallel, so only one needs to be "made". I'm on here looking for solutions for my LX665 which won't even start in service mode since internationally shutting it off when it was running normally on Sat. morning. I've learned a lot in the last three days, but no resolution yet. Good luck.
