Lx865 turbo hydraulic fluid

I know new holland calls for 10w30 in the hydraulic system but I’m having trouble finding bulk oil near me. Northern tool sells 10w30 multipurpose hydraulic oil in bulk. I need to change mine and flush the system so this more than likely won’t stay in the machine longer than a couple hrs. Would it be ok or do I need actual 10w30 motor oil?

IMO that would be fine to do as you describe.

I use sae 30w hydrolic fluid in my '99 Lx885, works good all winter in Fairbanks

it can be had in bulk at any NH dealer, and online as well?, and then you will know your using the right oil!, peace of mind has some value IMO

Unfortunately there isn’t a dealer anywhere close to me.

are there any rental shops near you, many of them carry fluids too, or even possibly other brand dealerships too!
