lx665 locks controls

got an lx 665 skid steer, starts and runs fine, but latley it has started to act up. ill be using it and then the park brake light and the engine pre heater lights will start flashing and the skid steer will shut off and lock the foot pedals. it will start right back up, but booms are locked. i can go back the next day or a few hours later, and it will be fine. do not understand why those two lights would flash and lock the booms unless the eic is acting up. any ideas????

It is unusual for the pre heat light to flash. It sounds like the instrument panel has a problem. The older these loaders get, corrosion is becoming a problem. If your instrument panel is outlined around the lights in silver there is a good chance that is the problem. The gold outlined panels are much better, but even they are starting to show corrosion problems. If you know someone with a LX or LS machine see if you can borrow their board or install your panel in their machine to see if the problem goes away or is still present.
