The later LS160 and L160 use the drilled bolt. The gearboxes are completely different between the mid frame loaders and the large frame loaders. There is no advantage to the funnels except it is the only way to get oil into the gearboxes on the large frame loaders. When you repair a gearbox with funnels you must fill the gearbox first so there is oil in it because it takes too long for the oil to flow into the box through the funnels after a rebuild. With the drilled bolt oil reaches a level in the box that is equal to the chain case oil level. I like to hold open the breathers on top of the gearboxes to make sure oil is getting into the box and not air locked but I do not think it is necessary.</p></blockquote><p></p>
