LX565 Aux hydrualics

I have a lx565. Just wondering why the auxilary hydraulics are controlled by the right hand control and by the left foot pedal? Why wouldn't just the right hand control move the aux hydraulics? I have post puller and when I use my left foot pedal to boom down it closes the jaws on the post puller? Is this normal? Thanks

No it shouldn't do that. Sounds like something needs greasing down under the floor plate.
