LS180 starting problem.

It was running pretty good but sat for a few days and will no longer crank. During the time it sat I did do a quick spray down with the water hose but I was careful at the engine and terminals. Anyway when I’m trying to crank it all the dash lights light up and it beeps a few times like normal. I hear the fuel pump kick in. As soon as I turn the key the engine preheat light comes on while the key is turned but will cut off when I let go of the key. Also during this time I hear one click in the engine bay near the fuse panel. I also tried switching the switch near the dash (forgot what that was called) but still does the same.

Have you tried the simple things forst, check tht the battery is ok? Batteries these days can just fail for no reason, it may show 12v, but inder load drops to 0v

My lx865 was giving a similar response.... i found the "key switch" wire had slipped off the blade connector on the starter solenoid. Good luck ce
