I have read the plentiful info on the New Holland seat pressure switch and seat belt issue and mine seems to be a little different. First off, my machine starts and moves around like it should. When I sit on the seat, the panel lights up so the seat switch is working. When I plug in the seat belt, it unlocks the hydraulics and I can raise and lower the bucket. When I try to move around and hit a few bumps, this is where the problem starts. The moment the machine jolts at all, the seat belt switch will click off and lock the hydraulics. I tried to bypass the seat belt and wire in an "on/off" toggle switch and the exact same thing still happens. So, looking for ideas. Is the board toast? Some relay that is tripping? Any info will help. Thanks James

Change the seat harness to the latest style. Originally power went to the seat switch, through the seat switch, when in the seat, to the seat belt switch. When you are on rough ground you will bounce off the seat enough to cut the power through the seat switch to the seat belt. The new style harness still has the power going to the seat switch, but at that terminal another wire is joined which goes to the seat belt. Now both the seat switch and seat belt have constant power regardless if someone is in the seat.

When I say I hit a few bumps, it doesnt take much movement at all. Certainly not enough to bounce me out of the seat. Basically any movement of the bucket will re-trip the seat belt. I dont think it has anythign to do with power to the seat belt. Maybe, I could be wrong. and I will look into this

Another problem with the harness is one of the wires would break at the seat switch. Visually it may not be evident, gently tug on the wires at the seat switch connector.

All of my harnesses under the seat look good Anyone have a schematic of the seat switch and its relays?

There are no relays involved with the safety system. I have skid loader wiring diagrams posted at a site called haytalk.com. The diagrams in the LX and early LS models are in the operators manual. they are hard to follow, so I drew my own diagrams, for those models, for the start circuit which includes the safety system. The later model loaders are the actual diagrams which I color coded the individual circuits. Go to haytalk.com->Forums->Machinery. At the top of the machinery forum page are three pinned threads. Choose My NH Repair etc. The first post is an index of all my posts. Scroll down until you come to the skid loader dieagram links.

I am having the same issue. Starts operating as should for about 30 to 45 sec then no hyd. Unbuckle and rebuckle seat belt and go another short time.

I would suggest checking connections on things, any corrosion, or possible worn out connectors/connections and just not making good contact, some times cleaning them and or ?? can solve this issue if not?
I am not really a fan of rewiring to by pass safety devices, but to each there own!

and remember, things do wear out over time!
,and as such, need either replacing or modifying like above posts have talked about!
