I have an LS170 skid loader. When I turn right, the right-side wheels do not like to spin backwards. It pulls the engine down and does chatter. This only happens on dry hard surfaces, and the wheels turn fine on slick snow or mud. The machine turns left with no issues. Any ideas? I have not jacked it up to check chain tension yet.

Since you didn't mention it, I assume straight reverse is not a problem. If so, it must mean that something about the spinning/twisting of turning is causing something to bind vs when you go straight forwards or backwards. When you jack it to check chain tension also check for bad wheel/axle bearings. That would be my guess at this point.

You are correct, there is no issues when backing or driving forward straight. I will check the chain tension and bearings next. Thanks for the input!
