There is a service/run switch in the cab fuse panel. It is to the front of the fuses. Be sure the switch is in the run position. If the seatbelt was the problem, then the engine would not start. That does not mean there is not a problem with the seat belt. The only way for the engine to start with a bad seatbelt or sear switch is with the switch in the service position. In the service position the hydraulics are locked out. You can also check by just sitting in the seat. With the key off look at the instrument panel as you sit in the seat. If he switch is in the run position the lights will light up on the instrument panel. In the service position they will only come on when you turn the key on.
