I bought a 2004 ls160 recently with 5,000 hours, I am going to be doing a complete service this weekend which includes new hydraulic fluid and filter. My question is, can I run hydraulic fluid like Super S “super trac” J20A in this machine? It says in the tech sheet that it’s viscosity is 10w30, the service manual for the machine calls for 10w30 in the hydraulic system so would this hydraulic oil work? It’s $29.99 for 5 gallons vs. $60+ for 10w30 diesel oil! This is a home use machine, I bought it just to do work around the yard and move snow around this winter. I welcome any thoughts, tips or pointers and thank all in advance!
