LS160 engine slows down

engine starts fine and runs for a while. then the engine slows down and tho still running won't throttle up changed out fuel filter. Any ideals ?

Has anyone ever changed out the throttle cable? if so any hints on how.

Not sure on your machine but most throttle cables can be adjusted. Also, If any of the cable mounting points become loose it will effect the operation since the cable will have slack in it.
