I've only had this machine for a few months. A few times I have had the machine shut off while I'm driving or lifting a load and it will not restart. Sometimes it will start right back up but typically it does not. A few minutes later it may or may not start. I'm suspicious of the seat and seat belt safety switches but I do not know how to test these. Any advise would be appreciated so that I'm not blindly throwing money at parts.

When you go to start it, does it crank?
If it does, i would suspect the fuel shut off soleniid before sensors. The sensors lock the lift/tilt out and do not just shut the engine off..
I'm sure Mike will be all over this with better advise and I can give.

Have you tried moving the service run switch to the service position to see if it will start. The service position powers the fuel shut off solenoid and only goes through other components before the fuel solenoid. Those two components are the service run switch and the aux override switch on the control valve.
