Anyone know what this is on the bottom of the Injection Pump? Should there be a wire on that? Not even sure if the part of the wiring diagram (attached) is for the injection pump or... I think there is also a fuel lift pump somewhere. Learning. The machine runs, just trying to get things right.

The lift pump is on top of fuel filter housing. Should chatter/vibrate any time key is in run. Don't think that other post on the bottom of the injection pump is used.
Don't know your problem, but I've also had the passageways in the housing between the filter and lift pump get plugged with fine fibrous dirt. Had to tear apart, remove fittings and carefully clean.

Thanks for the info. Previous owner bypassed the oil pressure switch and added a toggle switch next to the key to kill the engine (the key won't). I found two wires lying below the fuel filter. It runs well, I'm just trying to get things back to 'right' and keep it running. Without the oil pressure switch if I ever lost oil pressure instead of the engine stopping... things would get bad. So I'm working on making that right as well. Straightening these things out isn't easy off from the manuals and diagrams. I'm not even sure what color the wires I found are... (faded and more faded). So the more info I can get from people who know these machines, the better. Appreciate your help.
