Wanna PM me with a price? I've got an LX565 and I need the uppers ( that attach to the cab near the steering levers.)If you have a buddy at a machine shop, they could make them. I make my own from 4140 steel and get them heat treated, they are hard as!
those are not just a straight pin, they have threaded hole one end a taper on end to lock them in.Wanna PM me with a price? I've got an LX565 and I need the uppers ( that attach to the cab near the steering levers.)
I must been looking at the wrong one. Saw a price of $177 for a pin in there somewhere, probably stopped reading after that. Didn't know the hole was threaded, on my machine it looks like the bolt is backed up with a nut too. I knew about the taper. Lots there, but still pretty pricey. Guess I'll have to dust off the wallet...those are not just a straight pin, they have threaded hole one end a taper on end to lock them in.
if I looked at the right one messick's.com gets 137 for them unless you have a good friend with a shop I doubt that you will get them much cheaper but good luck
Forgot to ask, is that hole bushed too? Got lots of movement there, hope there's a bushing too or I've got an out of round end of the cylinder.I must been looking at the wrong one. I see now where the $177 pin is on the boom diagram, no real description of it either, is the machine just for use around home? if it can wait till spring do as Tazza suggested, have someone who owes you a favor make the pins.Forgot to ask, is that hole bushed too? You can try www.partspring.com also, they were just a hair under Messicks but had free freight on orders over 300 I believeI see now where the $177 pin is on the boom diagram, no real description of it either, is the machine just for use around home? if it can wait till spring do as Tazza suggested, have someone who owes you a favor make the pins.
Farm use. Gotta work it just about everyday, but not so hard it can't wait until the weather warms up a little. I'm just concerned having one so worn will put extra wear on the others since the boom won't be true. Always something. You can try www.partspring.com also, they were just a hair under Messicks but had free freight on orders over 300 I believe
