My skiddy came new with narrrow 6 ply tires now I can buy all the way up to 10 ply. I done some research and it appears tp me that the recaps are the best tire right now any help?

Even some 10 plys have some real issues, just how they are wrapped could be an issue.
R4? L5? whats your pleasure, any hard surfaces in your work? Lots of mud? Stick with known brand tires, tested, if I make a recommendation its because I have sold most of the brands out there at one time or another, Solid deal, firestone, goodyear, titan, Bobcat, OTR, Galaxy and my favorite Super grip. We have sold them all, rental yards have tested them us time and time again. But there is currently another issue with tires, just getting them can be hard, you see our friends at Titan tire corp cant make a decent SSL tire to save their A$$ so they file for a trade investigation with the ITC and get help from the united steel workers union because imported rubber is supposed to be hurting titans workers and profits. Yet in 2008 they had their best year ever! Some one needs to remind titan tire corp that the good ole USA does not have a single rubber tree in it! Then to call the kettle black they pick on only skid steer tires! Many tires made by Titan are made with Chinese rubber! So Titan wins the fight but not the war, currently many tires now come with an up to 212 percent tariff on them! Ya that weeds out the cheap crappy tires that where being sold in the US for less than cost here, but all it takes is a customer to try one set of cheap tires and they rarely go back!
The tariff is holding back many tire makers for the time being, but they will all find a way around the Titan tax. I still have many tires in my inventory with out tariffs and my supply line will be back in a month or two and Titan can start crying again. Buy the best you can get, it pays off in the long run, but what ever you do, BOYCOTT TITAN TIRES!
