So I am experiencing a left joystick error with the following codes: H3916 and D7501. I have checked the wiring for damage (none) , unplugged and cleaned all connection , and no luck. I can use the machine if I go very slow and gentle, but if I hit a bump or move the bucket too hard it triggers the code and the machine goes into park.
The dealer told me it’s very unlikely it’s the joystick, and it’s probably the wiring. According to the dealer, the whole harness has to be changed for $4k and 35-40 hrs of labor? I asked if they could test my joystick or try in another machine and they said no. I told him 95k sure doesn’t get you very much nowadays.
So today I called the Orlando dealer to see what they would say: they said it sounds like the joystick, and switch the, to see hat happens. So I switched the controllers from the right to the left, vice versa, and it didn’t produce any codes. The controls follow the joystick , so everything is backwards now but working. I expected to see a code for the right joystick now, but not zero codes. I am going to run the machine more now to see if it will throw a code eventually. I am thinking I did not run it long enough.
Any input or thoughts is appreciated!

I can tell you out of experience that these joysticks fail all the time. Most likely you need a Joystick Base.
You can not swap the joysticks because they recognize what they are, meaning the LH Joystick will always be a LH Joystick.
Check your wires underneath your Armrests and behind your seat. Possible that a wire rubbed through.

So we switched back the joysticks, cleaned every connection we could find and it seems that everything is working perfectly now, so it must have been a connection issue. I really appreciate the response, and since we have 4 machines I am sure I will have other questions in the future. Thanks again.

Your welcome, I still believe that the issue is either in the harness extensions underneath the Armrests or even in the Cab Harness.

This is good advice. While electrical gremlins are a pain to identify especially as they get more computerized and complicated the connectors are pretty reliable unless damaged or corroded. In your original post you mention easy going is good but bumps or jostling cause the error. This can very likely be an exposed wire with enough movement to contact ground. In swapping and cleaning the joysticks it could have moved that wire out of position preventing the failure. I fear as it relaxes into position again it will repeat itself. It may be prudent to do a close inspection of the wire harness for scrapes or cuts that will allow moisture into the wires.
