lap bar sensor

863 has 7.6 volts on signal wire to ground wire @ lap bar sensor coming from controller ...8 volts on source wire (normal).... took connectors loose @ sensor & controller... ohm out all 3 wires show good ....nothing to ground ( ground wire gets ground from controller)....checked all ground wires from battery good something shorted in controller ? not sure if this is true voltage hard to test Hall effect sensors

well after working on this 863g for several months off and on ....replaced lap bar sensor with aftermarket brand ...still no light & several codes ....sent controller off to be fixed...reinstalled controller all codes cleared but still no lap bar light ...checked all grounds and wiring no problem found ...ordered new sensor & hardware from dealer ..installed now all is good...learn a lesson about aftermarket parts ..some work some don't
