Message: <blockquote data-quote="Mike10" data-source="post: 49162" data-attributes="member: 5461">Throttle;  Have someone move the throttle lever while you watch the lever on top of the injection pump.  It should go against the stops mounted on top of the pump.  If the engine will not idle down when the lever is against the idle stop, you have an injection pump problem.  If the lever does not go against the stop, then you need to check the throttle cable where it attaches to the side of the engine by the fuel filter.  You may need to adjust there or the joints that screw onto the ends of the cables to get the injection pump lever to go against the stop.Leak down is probably caused by the internal seals of the cylinders being bad.  You will need to reseal the cylinders.  Could also be caused by a problem in the control valve.  There is a plug on the back of the control valve right above the spool that has orings on it.  It is possible that the oring is blown.  The plug just screws out.</blockquote>
