So I got the fly wheel and pump drive figured out and now the machine is up and running as it should but the loader arms will not lift I currently have them on the lock cylinders and it will almost stall the engine trying to lower it but will only lift 1/4” ( not enough to release lock) and then stop It isn’t trying hard enough to stall machine but it makes it labour a tiny bit History on the machine : Bought at auction without an engine in it- came with used one Put engine in and got it running Everything seems to be good- I can drive it around I can tilt the bucket forward and back to max and it will almost snuff the machine Lower will snuff machine WILL NOT LIFT any one run into this

Did you clean the screen? By your right leg under the panel. Take the nut off top pull screen out and clean it off. If it is clean attach a 2500psi gage on fitting that is on the bucket cylinder. Start machine and let it warm up. Tilt bucket up to stop. You should have 2000 to 2300psi. If you don't have high enough psi then your gear pump is bad. Sounds like the machine is starving for Hdy. fluid.

The seat has a switch in it and if that switch is unplugged or not working mine will do the same thing. I can tilt the bucket but cannot raise or lower the arms. There should be a wire on the right side of the seat and a plug will be about 8 to 10 inches from the seat

DO NOT LEAVE THAT SWITCH UNPLUGGED the arms can kill you in a heart beat

Ivan is right. My machine had two switches. Had to replace both. If you need new switches get them from a Grasshopper dealer. Mine were around $10 each. NH wanted $40 each. And do not unplug as Ivan stated. You should still check psi on bucket cyl. then you will know if that is ok. Good luck.

You can yest those switches if you have 2 On mine the power runs thru the switch and when you sit on it it breaks the power , This could be the other way around also I don't remember as it has been a while. You can put a jumper wire in the wire this goes thru the wall behind the seat also and if it works to that point you know it is a switch. But do not run it this way. I found out about this after the dealer sdid some work on mine and left a jumper wire in the plug
