I have a new-to-me 9000 hour L455 and am replacing one 60H final drive chain. The jack shaft seals fell apart so I am replacing them today too, there were no shims under the eccentric caps. The manual says to preload the bearings 4 - 6 in/lbs using (I assume) the shims to achieve the preload, but how do I do that?
