on going issue with this L35. It runs good for 1/2 hour then sputters like it's running out of gas? 1 gal to 5 gal it does the same. gas cap is loose so no vent issue. tried new filter and does the same. I went and installed a electric pump thinking old manual pump was going out.. but still quits in 1/2 hour..some time 45 minutes? I leave it sit 10 minutes I can use it for 5-10 minutes then acts up again. sure acts like running out of gas after awhile couse I can pull choke and it will start to come out of the stumbling but then dies out. Could it maybe be the coil?

Those engine have a heat sensor. If you have never taken the shielding off around the cylinders and cleaned the fins of the cylinders, then that is where I would start.

One more place to check is check where you gas line is hooked to the carb. Is there an elbow on it. If there is remove that elbow and check for dirt behind it. I had one with a screen in there that was plugged and when the machine shut off the dirt fell off the screen and let it run normal until the dirt got sucked up there. The second one had no screen and would run great until you went over rough ground. I rebuilt the carb three times and it still did it. When I removed that elbow there was rock hard hornet rear end in there . Once I removed that never had another problem

thanks Ivan- I think mine doesn't have the elbo but I'll look. I know I push the fuel line straight on from the side.. but I'll check. Got couple things to check now. sure is a frusterating thing. took all day to move big pile of gravel. every 1/2 hour it had to sit awhile.
