Advice needed on Gas L35 stater solenoid wiring. Helper scrambled wires on solenoid trying to fix a no start problem "Replacing Bad Solenoid " I understand the Batt and Starter output connection, ground for solenoid provided by chassis, and +12v on the "S" terminal pulls the relay Confusion is proper home and identification of two smaller wires! I cant find +12v volts on the two smaller wires when key switched on or button pressed. I looked for a ground by having test light clipped onto the battery, the other side looking for a ground to light it. One small wire seems to go to ground when key is turned on, then other wire seems to provide a ground when button pressed. I need +12v for "S" when key on and button presses. Scratching my head! What goes on under the dash with key switch and button? fuses? Am I just picking up a false ground through a meter or buzzer and the fuse is blown somewhere? A schematic wiring diagram for the L35 Skidsteer showing switch function and voltage path might help. Should key switch wire go to Batt terminal and button wire to "S" terminal? thanks!
