These fine engines are now available many places. The V2203 is used with the Carrier refer units in over the road trailers. Many salvage places have these trailers and the engines are rarely damaged. Because of the new emissions rules in Ca, and other states, many refer units using the Kubota engine must be changed to the new style engines. I recently bought a take out engine for $800. The Carrier Kubota engines have a different oil pan, but engine is very much the same. Many refer service companies and Carrier, have the removed engines for sale at a reasonable cost. I am supposed to get a complete engine with a bad hole in block for $150 with all accessories except starter. Frank in Idaho

Its a shame they aren't available so easily over here in .au, they are a good engine.
From what i have read, they have a different idle up setup too, but thats easily swapped from your old worn out engine. As is the sump and inlet and exhaust manifolds.
