I have a 2012 John Deere 320d engine blew and destroyed the block crankshaft balancer shafts and several other things. The engine model is 4024ht011 I'm wondering if I can purchase a 4024tf270 and swap parts over to it to make it work. Im having a hard time finding the same motor I have but can find plenty out of oth types of equipment. My thought was to buy the 4024tf270 and swap everything over including the head which I'm assuming would be the only thing that makes the engine different. Any thoughts on if this would work?

Hello, make sure they are the same; I have heard that they have some slight differences. The engine blocks for both models could have slight differences in design or component compatibility, even though they're from the same engine family.

Forget fixing it!! The engines are junk with no timing marks and the camshaft gears are not even keyed on!! Had a 317 with the same time-bomb engine. I WILL NEVER OWN ANY JD JUNK AGAIN!!!!
