I noticed that these pumps don't come "complete" from the dealer, but rather, the back wall of the pump is the front wall of the hydrostatic drive pump. When I went to assemble. I noticed that the one bushing- bearing for the driven gear was badly worn. I called the dealer and found that it's not offered for sale. So I went ahead and mated the new pump up and went to work. Had good pressure and flow- for bout a day. It lost pressure bad till it finally quit with a screeching noise. Took pump apart- drive gear shaft was sheared. Now my solution. I took the worn bushing out of the hydro drive housing. Then I cut the aluminum casting apart very carefully to extract a still good and barely worn bearing from the cover side of old pump. Installed it in the housing. Now I'm ready to install new pump and flush out system. Does anyone have advice or see anything wrong with this procedure?</p></blockquote><p></p>
