john deere 250 hydraulic problems

john deer 250 had a hydraulic pump leave metal shavings. in the hydraulic oil. replaced pump and all hydraulic lines and cooler. went to restart the motor/ engine and got no hydraulic oil moving through the system. thinking there is air pockets.

How was the bushing on the machine case side when you replaced the pump? Did you change the bushings on case side?
