I have a new S590 that replaced my G series 773T. The boom and bucket controls are waaay more sensitive than my 773. If for example, I have some load in the bucket, it is almost impossible to raise the boom a small amount like 1 inch. Instead, as soon as it moves, it goes so fast that it jumps about four inches. To me the "gain" on the controls it too high. It jumps very fast with the slightest control input. I have the normal Hand Controls. (not the joystick version)l. Is this "normal" or is something wrong here? It its normal, it sucks. I am very unhappy wit this new machine because of the controls hyper-sensitivity. (Its not just me - I have about 40 hours using it now and its not just a mattter of getting used to it).

Are you running wide open if so try running it at half to 3/4
No. Even at slower engine speeds its too jerky for me. I have a lot of experience with skid loaders, excavators, articulating loaders etc. I have never had controls that are this hard to control. I wonder if its just "normal" for the M series. I hope not, because I need a fix. I got the manual supplement that describes how to program the "sensitivity" settings. Unfortunately that only affects the amount of control input to BEGIN movement - it does not affect the RATE of movement. So it had no effect.

With manual controls i would have thought it would respond far better than that. I'd check for wear first, if it's worn, its possible that the slow is allowing it to move more than it should when it starts to move oil.
Even check for binding, you move it a little and have to push harder than you should have to and it gets part the binding point and it moves that extra little bit (if that makes sense).
Being a newer machine and not hand controls it should be very smooth.
I don't believe restrictors should be needed, they will just cause more heat to be generated when you want to move at regular speed, not fine work.
