JCT vibratory roller

Without knowing of the horrible quality of the JCT product line, I purchased a new vibratory roller. Within 1/2 hour I started smelling rubber and then seeing smoke. It turns out everyone I have heard that owns one of these is having the same issue. They say the factory forgot to tighten the bolts on the Lovejoy coupler, but I can't see that being the true issue on all of them, but maybe I am wrong. Anyway, just wondering if anyone here owns one with the same issue and have you found a solution. I was talking with someone that said he found the coupler on ebay, but I lost contact with him to see if there was a long term success.

I am having the exact same issue with mine. Except mine does really vibrate since I first hooked it up. And then started smelling things
