I am looking at a 1999 JCB 165 HF w/ cab/heat. Its in great shape 13k price, 550 hours, HF hydros running at 26GPM @2600psi. Looks to be a great machine. It lifts 1400lbs and is a little under 60" wide so I can use my current bucket. I do barn cleaning, snow removal, and fencing in my weekend skidsteer buisness and this skid fits alot of the bills. The main advantage is the side entry. With the post pounder and auger it is difficult if not impossible to get out if the attachment is up. The side entry has a huge advantage here. It would be behind because I could not put over the tire tracks on it and with barn cleaning that could be a huge disadventage. Snow cleaning wouldn't really matter but I am curious is the one are design will cause grading and leveling with it to be more difficult. (strength issues with the single arm?) Parts are one day out because we have a JCB dealer here and they will do all major mechanical work. I am just hoping somebody out there has a JCB and could tell me a little more about them. Height, Weight, Engine make and model, reliability, personal experience with them. I have searched the internet high and low and have found precious little info on these. I know they are very popular in Europe but thats about it. thanks for any help. Dozer
