I want to remove my engine from my 853. In the service manual is calls for a special engine jig to be made for the hoist. Is there any other way to remove engine without using this special made tool to hook up to engine hoist? I cleaned my engine compartment and still notice oil on the bottom of the frame. I think it's coming from the bottom of the oil pan. My breather tube was pinched by the door. Any suggestions?

I take it you opened the breather tube and the leak still persists? Because a blocked breather tube is definitely going to cause oil to leak from seals, dipstick and anywhere it can find a way out.
Several people have pulled the egnine and pumps out without the lifting tool. It is possible. You just won't be able to set it all the way forward when replacing it.

Like Ken says , it can be done with out the tool , as I have never used a tool and pulled many of engines , a fork lift or a Bobcat with forks is what I use , a small chain with shackles strapped tight across the top of the valve cover onto the two lifting ears and you can do it , going back in I get it in as far as I can then hook a come a long to the boom ( the boom is up and safety barred ) and to the pump and click it into place
