i noticed yesterday when i turn and the machine bucks a bit, my arms sway side to side a little. is this normal? when my machine is parked i can move the pistons side to side at both ends. do i need pins?

A little play is normal.
The way i check for pin wear is to sit in the seat, look at the ram body and push the pedal forwards and backwards and look to see of teh ram body moves. If it does the pin or bushing is worn at the base of the loader, do the same at the front pivot point where the ram stick joins to the arms. Sliding from side to side is ok, they need to be able to move a little.
My S150 has a little more slop than i'd like, it's a job for one day.
