Getting ready to do a heavy amount of work with my 863F. I've already changed the timing belt and plan to change all fluids/filters early. what might be some other important things to keep in mind preventatively and/or while I work?

I'd make sure your oil temp gauge is working properly. I don't recall if I had to replace the oil temp gauge or sending unit on my 873 but oil temp is a good thing to know on this engine.

Keep it greased, the pins and bushings will thank you for it.
