I have a 98 331 excavator it had a smell of electrical burning and shut off while moving.

my bobcat 331 excavator has a few issues
1. while driving I smelled an electrical burning smell couldn't pin. point it. came from engine bay it seamed. when I tried to start it, it had 1/4 turn as if power not making it to starter
I haven't tested anything but the battery and the in full charge
need help to diagnose problem.

2nd. I changed my tracks and when I put the tracks back on on e of my trans isn't moving while touching the ground
when I have it in the air it moves all ways properly. I do have a leaky swivel seal. maybe I can blame that? bu it wasn't doing it prior to track change ??

I'd start with looking at your fuse box, and see if any fuses are blown, and from there , back track on wires from it, as , if you had a short on a wire, it should trip a fuse ,
as for track not moving, could be a drive motor going out, low on hydraulic fluid, or an electrical issue with controls, or??
how many hours on machine??
