Hey everyone, great site here! I have a problem with an s220. When we push the button to engage the bucket, it won't work. Here is the story. The Bobcat belongs to my boss. Although I am mechanically inclined and have been a mechanic for many years, I know nothing about these machines. I myself have run this machine a total of maybe 10 minutes! So, it will become painfully obvious in a few minutes that I know very little about these machines. Here is what I know. When you get in the seat, pull the seat bar down and push the button to turn on the right joystick to control the bucket, it won't engage. The light won't come on. Often when this happens, I think the left joystick won't work either. It has been doing this for a long time. In the past we could wiggle the right joy stick and it would then work. Maybe a coincidence, maybe not. Today it would not work at all. Nothing worked. After a while, it did go into reverse but would not run forward. Then for no particular reason the light came when the button was pushed, and everything worked. One of the other guys was running it today trying to get it to work. He said a trouble code or something in the cab said the joystick was not centered on it's axis. He wiggled the stick, but it still would not work. Then again for no reason it started working again. Fluid was checked and is full. Has anyone had this same problem, or know what could be causing this? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Might have a short or just a bad joystick
With the code you are getting, my guess is the joysticks are shot. They get worn out over time and do not neutral out. If the controller detects the joysticks commanding something while the push to operate button is being pushed, it will lock functions. Wiggling the joysticks to find neutral will often work to get a machine moving.

Thanks for the information. The boss thinks they got it fixed today. He found a short in a wire, so hoping that fixes the problem. Thanks again!
