Hydraulics Help

guys... i just bought an old 720. LOVE IT! it had a seal leak on the left lift arm. I've never owned heavy equipment before. I have the seals replaced and am putting the lift arm back together. 1. do i need to fill the lift arm case with hydraulic fluid prior to closing it off or will the system do that? 2. do i need to bleed the system somehow? 3. i took the right side panel door off and the inside is full of hydraulic fluid. is that where the fluid is stored, i.e. the bottom of the inside, or do i have a leak i need to find?

It will self bleed, don't worry about that.
As for the second question, i can't help there. Never worked on a 720.
