I have a Daewoo 601 skidsteer that in the specs for the hydraulic system calls for SAE 10W20CD;Texaco TDH;Mobil Fluid 423;chevron Tractor Hydraulic Fluid; G Automatic Fluids meeting Caterpillar TO-2 or Allison C3 standards. I purchased a Bobcat 911 backhoe attachment at auction with the intent of repairing & adapting it to my Daewoo. The bobcat dealer here told me that the hydraulic fluid in my Daewoo would ruin the seals in the Bobcat backhoe. My question is whether this is true and if so could I put a different fluid in the skidsteer that would be compatible with the backhoe or am I just out of luck ? If I can change to a different fluid do I need to do some special purge procedure to get all of the old stuff out ? Thank you very much for any help on this. I am trying to decide whether to go ahead and weld up the trailer ball posts I need to put on the Daewoo to attach this older bobcat backhoe and start repairing the backhoe hoses and cylinders that need it.
