hydraulic filter for 600

I have a 600 that has a canister filter and I would like to convert it to a screw on filter. I have had this machine for ten + years and can never get the canister to quit leaking. Do I need a special filter or just any hydraulic filter?

No one has piped up so maybe no one has done it. I'm thinking it is not that big a deal so will be picking up a filter assembly when I make it to town. Thanks for the offer of manuals but I have both parts and repair Thank, Byron
