Ive got a 763 with around 3000 hrs on it , noticed when driving into a pile it's starting to cavitate , I never push real hard into a pile anyway but now I'm having to take it more easy as Ive noticed this problem and it sound not so good when it happens severe vibration & squeal . Never owning a machine long enough to have Hydraulic problems in the past what does this sound like ? Hydraulic drive motor needing attention ? Or the main pump itself ? If it is the drive motor what's usually required for a fix , rebuild ? Easy to do ? Thanks

I don't have any experience rebuilding pumps, but you have checked that the drive belt is not slipping, right?

What you describe sounds like a drive belt. I would check the tension and condition of the belt. Belts are easy to replace if its the problem.
