Hydraulic case drain filters

S220 I'm wanting to replace case drain filters how hard is it and will fluid all come out of the tank any suggestions thanks!!

It should be slow, the hoses are only small, so it can't move too fast, yet you will get some mess no matter how fast you are with changing them out.

If you have already changed them then disregard this post. I just changed them, first time, on an 06 s220 with the sjc controls and it was pretty easy. It is best if you can cap and plug the hoses and fittings. At the very least the hose that goes to the reservoir. The one under the cab is held down with a strap that is bolted to the middle chain case cover. Put some clean rags/shop towels under it after you take that loose. I preferred to take all the hoses off and take them to the bench so I could unscrew them in a shallow pan lined with a clean rag to inspect them. If you want more detail just reply.
